ATLAS FLOORCARE 7 STEP CLEANING PROCESS

STEP 1. PROJECT WALKTHROUGH.

We start each project by walking the areas needing to be cleaned with the client. This gives us an opportunity to determine the precise solution for your unique cleaning need, as well as go over any areas that you feel need specific attention (pet mishaps, odors, staining, etc). By walking the project with you, we are able to address any concerns, as well as establish expectations for the project's completion.

STEP 2. PROTECTING AREAS THAT AREN'T BEING CLEANED.

Oftentimes, the items or areas that need cleaning are surrounded by surfaces that can get damaged if left unprotected. Whether it's the use of moving blankets to cover an entryway or specific surface, or corner guards that protect paint and trim from our vacuum hoses. Have a couch or item that needs to be moved in order to clean? Rest assured that, by using professional grade furniture sliders, your wood or stone floors won't be scratched in the process of cleaning.

STEP 3. VACUUMING.

One of the most important steps in the cleaning process that oftentimes gets overlooked by bargain priced cleaners as well as some homeowners. Vacuuming with professional grade cleaning equipment, prior to preconditioning the carpet or area rug, can remove up to 70% of dry soil. Our process goes one step further by utilizing a specialized tool called a "CRB" or counter rotating brush machine. With its two powerful rotating brushes (each rotating in an opposite direction), we are able to lift deep down dirt, hair, and other debris that a traditional vacuum leaves behind.

STEP 4. SPOTTING/PRE-CONDITIONING.

Once your carpet or area rug has been prepped for cleaning, we address any specific areas of need (gum, ink, coffee, pet stains/odors, etc) before moving to on to treating the entire cleaning surface with our ECO-based pre-spray conditioner. Our pre-sprays are safe for pets as well as children and are specifically designed to breakdown built up dirt and grime, in a safe way, as we prepare to remove these debris from the carpet using our truck-mounted, hot water extraction method.

STEP 5. CLEANING.

Hot water extraction, better known as "steam cleaning", is the only cleaning method that is approved by all major carpet manufacturers to clean carpets/area rugs while maintaining warranty compliance. We are certified in the latest hot water extraction methods and continue to utilize the latest technology available to get your surfaces as clean as possible, while maintaining your carpet's warranty.

STEP 6. RINSING.

Most cleaning agents (pre-spray, spotters, etc.) leave residue in the carpet if not properly neutralized after cleaning, a step often overlooked by bargain cleaners. This residue tends to attract new dirt/debris and causes newly cleaned carpets to become dirty quicker. We utilize an acid rinse that gently removes any leftover cleaning agents, as well as brings your carpet's pH back into balance, which leaves your carpet feeling soft without any unwanted crunchy carpet issues.

STEP 7. GROOMING/DRYING.

Upon completion of the cleaning process, we use a special rake to reset your carpet's pile. This not only removes any tool marks or footprints, it also aids in the drying process. We also utilize high speed fans, when needed, with most of our dry times falling under 4 hours, not days as can be the case with some of our competition.
