ATLAS FLOORCARE TILE CLEANING PROCESS

STEP 1. PROJECT WALKTHROUGH.

We start each project by walking the areas needing to be cleaned with the client. This gives us an opportunity to determine the precise solution for your unique cleaning need, as well as go over any areas that you feel need specific attention (pet mishaps, odors, staining, etc). By walking the project with you, we are able to address any concerns, as well as establish expectations for the project's completion.

STEP 2. PROTECTING AREAS THAT AREN'T BEING CLEANED.

To protect surrounding surfaces from damage, we use moving blankets for entryways and corner guards for paint and trim. For moving furniture, we employ professional-grade sliders to prevent scratches on your wood or stone floors.

STEP 3. DRY MOPPING.

The first cleaning step in all solid floor surface floor cleaning. Prior to applying our tile specific pre-sprays, we utilize a dry microfiber mop to remove and surface debris that could potentially scratch or damage your flooring during the remaining cleaning processes. An easy step, but a very important one in ensuring that we don't harm your flooring during the cleaning process.

STEP 4. PRE-CONDITIONING.

After dry mopping and prepping your tile surface, we address any issues such as loose grout or stains. Then, we apply our tile-specific pre-spray conditioner, which is safe for pets and children and designed to break down dirt and grime before mechanical agitation.

STEP 5. AGITATION.

We use a CRB (counter-rotating brush) machine to agitate the surface, with thousands of bristles rotating in different directions to lift stubborn grime. Meanwhile, our tile-specific pre-spray emulsifies the grime into a removable liquid.

STEP 6. HIGH PRESSURE RINSING.

Many cleaning agents leave residue that attracts dirt, causing floors to get dirty faster if not properly neutralized—a step often missed by budget cleaners. We use an acid rinse to remove any leftover agents and prepare your tile for sealing.

STEP 7. DRYING/SEALING.

After cleaning, we use specialized fans to ensure the floor dries thoroughly. Once dry, we apply a suitable sealer depending on the surface type and grout line size. Sealing grout protects it from absorbing spills, giving you time to clean up before stains set in.
